New Delhi: India and South Africa will lock horns in the fourth T20I of the five-match series at the Ekana stadium in Lucknow on Wednesday. The Men in Blue are 2-1 up in the series and a victory in today's match will help them take an unassailable lead with one more match to go on Friday.

While fortune and performance is favouring the Indian side in the shortest format, the Proteas can't be written off from the encounter especially after they bounced back emphatically in the second match to draw parity. For the hosts, the form of skipper Suryakumar Yadav and vice-captain Shubman Gill have been a bit concerning in the series with both then players failing to showcase any intent in the first two matches.

In the last game at Dharamsala, Gill showcased some intent and part of his prowess with a 28-run knock of as many balls but Suryakumar again flopped on 12. On the bowling front, India are well-equipped with quality bowlers who have showcased their class in the last three games with Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakravarthy among others shining for the side.

Meanwhile, South Africa would not want to lose the game as the fourth match of the series is a do or die fixture for them. The Proteas would be aiming to emerge victorious in the fourth fixture so as to keep the series alive.

Team India's record at Ekana

India hold a pitch perfect record at the Ekana stadium in Lucknow. Out of the three T20I encounters India has played at the venue, they have won all the three contests. India played against West Indies, Sri Lanka and New Zealand in 2018, 2022 and 2023 and merged victorious on all three occasions.

Live Streaming

The India vs South Africa fourth T20I will be streamed live on the JioHotstar app and website and telecast on the Star Sports network from 7 PM IST on Wednesday.

Ekana stadium pitch report

The Ekana Cricket Stadium has traditionally proved to be a challenging surface for the batters. Bowlers are going to get help from the surface in both the encounters but it will be a bit tough for the batters as they will have to become tactical in their approach.

Lucknow weather report

There is no chance of rain during the encounter but the weather would be chilly in the city with the maximum temperature going up to 19 while the minimum dropping to 11. Dew will play a major factor in the second half of the game.
