With bounce, control, and an easy rhythm to his action, Ripon Mondol quickly became a pace option to watch. A standout performer in the 2022 U19 World Cup, he emerged as one of the top wicket-takers and played a key role in Bangladesh’s campaign. Hailing from the northern district of Rangpur, he made his First-class and List A debuts in 2022, followed by a T20 debut the same year. His ability to consistently hit good lengths and extract bounce made him stand out in domestic cricket from the very beginning.

He has been a regular feature in domestic tournaments, impressing in the National Cricket League, Dhaka Premier League, and the Bangladesh Premier League. Representing the Dhaka Dominators in the BPL, Ripon produced a few eye-catching spells, particularly in the Powerplay, where his ability to swing the new ball posed problems for top-order batters. His performances in the franchise circuit, have helped him gain valuable experience under pressure. His hard work finally paid off when he was selected to represent Bangladesh in the 2023 Asian Games, where he made his T20I debut against Malaysia.
