Tim Robinson is a New Zealand cricketer known for his explosive batting. Originally a talented javelin thrower alongside his brother Cam during his days at Wellington College, Robinson shifted his focus entirely to cricket, quickly establishing himself as a hard-hitting opener. Following Finn Allen’s departure from Wellington, Robinson stepped up to fill the role, delivering stellar performances for the team.

Robinson's 2023-24 Super Smash season was particularly remarkable. In just six innings, he amassed 298 runs at an impressive average of 59.60 and an exceptional strike rate of 187.42. This eye-catching season underscored his natural ability to dominate bowlers and set a solid foundation for his T20 career. Robinson’s rapid rise led to his international debut for New Zealand in April 2024, during a T20I series against Pakistan in Rawalpindi.

Although he had a challenging start, bowled for a two-ball duck by Pakistan’s Shaheen Shah Afridi, Robinson bounced back later in the series with a determined 51 off 36 balls in Lahore. This inning offered a glimpse of his potential on the international stage, showcasing his aggressive style and ability to handle high-pressure situations. It was only a matter of time before Tim made his debut in the other white-ball format, and the opportunity came knocking in November 2024 when he was handed his ODI cap during the series against Sri Lanka in the subcontinent.
