Rohail Nazir is a wicketkeeper-batter from Islamabad whose journey to the top has been as compelling as it has been consistent. Deeply rooted in the capital city's cricketing circuit and inspired by his elder brother Tahir Nazir, a well-known figure in Pakistan's tape-ball community, Nazir developed quickly through the regional age-group ranks, combining lightning-quick reflexes behind the stumps with an elegant, technically sound batting technique.

Nazir first burst into the global spotlight during a prolific youth career. He represented Pakistan at the 2018 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup before being named vice-captain for the 2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup in Bangladesh, where he finished as the leading run-scorer and anchored the final with a match-winning century. His natural leadership qualities and prolific domestic scoring earned him the captaincy of Pakistan at the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup in South Africa, a milestone that cemented his reputation as one of the country's most accomplished young cricket brains.

On the domestic and franchise circuits, Nazir has consistently translated his talent into high-impact performances. He made his first-class debut for Islamabad in 2018, scoring a brilliant 130 in his very first innings, and later became an integral part of the Northern and Oil & Gas Development Company Limited setups. His red-ball prowess reached new heights during the 2025 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, where he notched up a phenomenal double-century for Islamabad Region. In the Pakistan Super League, his multi-format utility has seen him drafted by top-tier franchises over the years, including stints with Islamabad United, Multan Sultans, and the Karachi Kings.

After making his senior international T20I debut at the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou, Nazir's career reached a significant new milestone in May 2026. In the absence of Usman Khan, the national selectors rewarded his relentless domestic consistency with a maiden senior One Day International call-up for the home series against Australia.
