In the 2022 Major League Tournament, he topped the run charts with 1,229 runs in 15 innings, including an unbeaten 300, showcasing his ability to play long, impactful innings.

His consistent domestic performances earned him a spot in the Sri Lanka Emerging Team for their 2022 tour of England. During this tour, Madushka scored 269 runs against Kent, setting a record for the highest first-class score by a Sri Lankan in England, surpassing Aravinda de Silva's 255.
