The 2025–26 season of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy is set to start on November 26, with Mumbai playing their league-stage games at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
Suryakumar’s comeback to domestic T20 cricket comes at an important time. He scored 717 runs at a strike rate of 167.91 in the IPL 2025, but his form in international cricket has dipped. In 2025, he managed to score just 184 runs across 15 T20I innings, averaging 15.33 with a strike rate of 127.77.

The first game of the five-match T20I series will be played in Cuttack, followed by Chandigarh (11 December), Dharamshala (14 December), Lucknow (17 December), and Ahmedabad (19 December).
