New Delhi: Sri Lanka and New Zealand have announced their squads for the upcoming Women's ODI World Cup 2025, which is set to begin on September 30, with India facing Sri Lanka at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.

Sophie Devine will lead the New Zealand squad in the mega tournament, and they will open their tournament's campaign against Australia on October 1 in Indore. The 15-member squad was announced by former World Cup-winning captain Emily Drumm in Auckland on Wednesday.

The White Ferns will also play two warm-ups in Bengaluru before their first game of the tournament. New Zealand have handed maiden World Cup call-ups to Flora Devonshire, Polly Inglis, Bella James and Bree Illing. All four new players have made their debut for New Zealand over the past summer, and also featured on the 'A' tour of England earlier this year.

Their inclusion means Fran Jonas, Lauren Down, Molly Penfold and Hannah Rowe missed out on World Cup selection. Despite the new faces, the White Ferns will have plenty of experience in the squad.

Devine has announced that she will retire from the 50-over format after the tournament, and is set to play her fifth World Cup along with Suzie Bates. Lea Tahuhu will be featuring in her fourth campaign, while Maddy Green and Melie Kerr are in their third campaigns.

New Zealand squad: Sophie Devine (c), Suzie Bates, Eden Carson, Flora Devonshire, Izzy Gaze, Maddy Green, Brooke Halliday, Bree Illing, Polly Inglis, Bella James, Jess Kerr, Melie Kerr, Rosemary Mair, Georgia Plimmer, Lea Tahuhu.
