New Delhi: Eberechi Eze netted a stunning hat-trick as Arsenal defeated their north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 at the Emirates in the Premier League on Sunday, November 23.
The hosts struggled in the first 36 minutes as the Spurs managed to frustrate Mikel Arteta's side, but scored two goals before halftime. Leandro Trossard broke the deadlock from close range in the 36th minute, before Eze scored the second after 41 minutes.
The midfielder netted again just after halftime as he found space on the edge of the area and dispatched another shot inside the post to put the Gunners in complete control of the match.
Richarlison scored the first goal for the Spurs after the forward lobbed Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya from near the centre circle in the 55th minute. Tottenham Hotspur looked threatening in the second half, but it didn't bother Arsenal as Eze completed his hat-trick with another clinical finish in the 76th minute.
In another Premier League game on Sunday, Aston Villa beat Leeds United 2-1 at Elland Road. Lukas Nmecha struck the opening goal in the 8th minute, but Villa made a comeback in the game as Morgan Rogers netted a brace in the second half.
Arsenal are at the top of the table with 29 points from 12 games, and Chelsea are in second spot with 23. Tottenham's first away league defeat of the season left them in ninth position on 18 points, while Aston Villa jumped to fourth position with 21 points.

Cristiano Ronaldo netted a stunning bicycle kick with the last attempt of the game in Al Nassr’s 4-1 victory against Al Khaleej in the Saudi Pro League at Al Awwal Park in Riyadh on Sunday.
With only seconds remaining, the 40-year-old Portuguese forward pounced on a cross from Nawaf Boushal to score his 10th league goal of the season.
Joao Felix scored the opening goal in the 39th minute and Wesley netted the second in the 42nd minute. Murad Al-Hawsawi scored the first goal for the visitors, but Sadio Mane's goal in the 77th minute gave Al-Nassr a 3-1 lead as the club secured its ninth consecutive win in as many games in the league this season.
