New Delhi: India have slipped six spots and now positioned at 142nd in the world, according to the latest FIFA rankings released on Wednesday. The drop came after a disappointing performance in the AFC Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers, where the Blue Tigers failed to win a single match out of the five.

India’s struggles continued with a 1-2 defeat against Singapore on October 14, which ended their hopes of qualifying for the tournament, and a 0-1 defeat against Bangladesh on Tuesday, further deepening their woes.
