New Delhi: Elon Musk has commented on a viral video of a Chinese one depicting humanoid robots dancing in choreographed dances during a live performance. The video was shot at one of the performances of US-born singer-songwriter Wang Leehom in Chengdu, showing several robots playing on the stage with humans and performing complicated movements to the music.
The show rapidly went viral and captured the interest of people worldwide because of its combination of live entertainment and hi-tech robotic technology. Some of the people responding included the mistake of Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, whose short reply contributed to the hype of the futuristic display.
Elon Musk’s one-word reaction
Musk responded to the video on X when it was posted with the caption that robots in China were dancing on a professional level. Musk reposted the clip and gave only one word of his verdict, which was impressive. His reply induced additional talks, as most users likened the robots to the Optimus humanoid project by Tesla.
What the viral video shows
The movie includes the presence of an army of humanoid robots adorned in organised attires, such as baggy pants and glittering overshirts. The machines execute fast-paced dance moves, such as flips and dance moves in unison with the human performers on the stage.
Why robots were used in the concert
As stated on the official site of Wang Leehom, the concert was aimed at making the combination of music and technology a valuable memory. Robotic dancers joined the singer on his current Best Place Tour, in which they performed live together with him, and it was one of the few cases when robotic dancers were incorporated into the mainstream concert.
The Chengdu crowd applauded deafeningly, and many fans captured and posted the incident online. The performance was hailed by the users of social media as one of the most creative moments of the tour. Some of the remarks mentioned the Tesla Optimus robot; people made jokes about robot Olympics and US-China competition dancing machines.
The robots that are observed on the stage are thought to be Unitree G1 humanoids. The G1 will be a humanoid AI agent that will cost the company approximately 13,500 dollars, according to the company. Unitree boasts of excellent flexibility, AI-trained learning and hands that are dexterous enough to perform intricate movements and work.
