India and Israel have substantially strengthened their decades-long defence partnership by signing a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on defence cooperation in Tel Aviv. The agreement, inked during the 17th joint working group meeting, was co-chaired by Indias Defence Secretary, Rajesh Kumar Singh, and Director General of Israeli Military Defence, Major General Amir Baram.
This new MOU establishes a comprehensive framework for future collaboration, encompassing vital areas such as strategic dialogue, joint training, defence industrial cooperation, and research and development.
A key focus of the expanded partnership is on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and emerging technological innovation. According to India's Defence Ministry, the agreement is designed to promote the co-development and co-production of advanced defence systems, enabling both nations to share cutting-edge technology.
Both sides also reviewed ongoing projects, affirming the significant mutual benefits derived from their enduring partnership.
