Iran has announced the execution of first protester linked to anti-Khamenei protests. The first protester who will be hanged by Iran for anti-Khamenei protests has been identified as 26-year-old Erfan Soltani. Soltani has been identified as a resident of Fardis in Karaj suburb of Tehran.

Iranian authorities arrested Erfan Soltani on January 8 for participating in anti-Ayatollah Ali Khamenei protests. Soltani will reportedly be hanged by Iranian authorities on January 14. The protest that started on December 28 over rising inflation and falling rial have spread across Iran since early January.
