Trump's Ignorance of US-Russia Chemical Imports Exposed! | WATCH

While Trump is putting tariffs on India for doing trade deals with Russia, he is seemingly unaware of US-Russia trade deals. During a recent press briefing trump admitted he was unaware of chemicals US is importing from Russia. Trump's remarks were in reference to US signaling it out unfairly while continuing to do deals with Russia itself.

The recent press conference held at the White House, primarily focused on the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, took an unexpected turn when President Trump addressed the issue of US-Russia trade relations. The discussion was triggered by a query from a reporter regarding Indias observation on the US criticising other nations for trading with Russia while simultaneously importing significant quantities of Russian goods.

Trumps response, "I dont know anything about it," exposed a notable gap in his understanding of ongoing US-Russia trade deals. This admission is particularly striking given the USs imposition of sanctions on Russia in response to its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. These sanctions were intended to exert economic pressure on Russia and curtail its global trade activities.

Despite these sanctions, data reveals a substantial volume of goods imported from Russia into the US. Since January 2022, imports have totalled $24.51 billion. This figure includes significant quantities of fertilisers, valued at $1.27 billion in 2024, and substantial imports of uranium and plutonium ($624 million in 2024), alongside approximately $878 million worth of palladium from Moscow.
