What is China's '996' work rule that Narayana Murthy is pitching for?

New Delhi: Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy has once again stirred a hornet 's nest by suggesting 72-hour work week. Murthy said that employees in India should follow a 72-hour work week, reiterating his stance on long work hours. The top business tycoon had last year sparked a controversy after he pitched for 70-hour work week and said that he does not believe in "work life balance". Renewing the debate around work life balance, Murthy encouraged young Indians to follow the 9,9,6 work routine, a work pattern followed by some companies in China. In a interview with Republic TV, Murthy said that no individual, community, or country has ever achieved success without hard work and urged youth to "get a life first and then worry about work-life balance". "Last year, Catamaran senior and middle level staff went to China and they went to tier 1 cities, tier 2 cities and tier 3 cities. They stayed in tier-3-kind of hotels because we wanted to understand the real China. And you know...

No visa-free entry for Indians in Iran from November 22 | Why is the facility suspended?

New Delhi: Indians will now need a visa to travel to Iran as the country has cancelled the one-way visa-free entry for them, citing job fraud, kidnapping and trafficking cases. From November 22, Indian nationals will not be able to enjoy visa-free entry into Iran anymore and have to have a valid visa for both entry and transit. The new rule has made it mandatory for Indian travellers to apply for an Iranian visa in advance, carry the visa at the time of boarding and hold a visa for a airport transit as well through Iranian territory. The suspension applies to all Indian citizens who hold ordinary passports. Since February last year, Indian tourists were allowed to visit Iran without a visa under certain conditions. The visa-free entry facility was part of the Tehran 's attempt in recent years to deepen its diplomatic ties with key Asian partners besides boosting tourism. Iran had allowed Indians to enter Iran visa-free once every six months for a non-extendable stay of 15 days,...
