New Delhi : IAS officer Sanjeev Khirwar who came under fire in 2022 for clearing a Delhi sports stadium to "walk his dog, has now been appointed as the new MCD commissioner. Khirwar was transferred to Ladakh from Delhi in May 2022 after his move sparked a controversy. The Union Home Ministry appointed Khirwar, a 1994-batch Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territories (AGMUT) cadre IAS officer, as the commissioner of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). New Delhi: National record holder in men’s pole vault Dev Kumar Meena and another athelete were allegedly harassed by a Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) and asked to get down the train at the Panvel railway station in Mumbai over their sporting equipment (pole). Mumbai : Furious over the delay, some passengers created a ruckus onboard a Thailand-bound IndiGo flight on Thursday after the pilot allegedly refused to fly the plane as his duty hours ended. A video of the chaotic scene that unfolded inside the Mumbai-Thailand flight has gone viral on social media. Cash haul row: Jolt to Justice Yashwant Varma as SC dismisses plea against parliamentary panel

New Delhi:  In a big setback to Allahabad High Court Justice Yashwant Varma, the Supreme Court on Friday dismissed his petition challenging the legality of the parliamentary panel probing the cash haul case involving him and the Lok Sabha Speaker 's decision to admit a motion to remove him. The bench of justices Dipankar Datta and Satish Chandra rejected his plea. Justice Varma found himself in the middle of controversy after unaccounted cash was recovered from his official residence in Delhi last year. CCTV cameras to be installed inside Red Fort for first time months after Nov 10 terror attack

New Delhi: Months after a bomb blast near Delhi 's Red Fort rocked the national capital, CCTV cameras are set to be installed in the iconic monument for security and surveillance. According to officials, as many as 150 CCTV cameras inside the complex will be installed in the first phase.
