Stellantis offers GST benefits on their brand Jeep and Citroen

Stellantis have observed the GST cutbacks on both of their brands in India, Citroen and Jeep, making the two cars much more accessible to customers.

New Delhi: Citroën India has announced that it will pass the complete benefits of the recent GST reduction to its customers across its entire lineup, effective from September 22nd, 2025, the date the revised rates come into effect. This comes on the back of their recent launches, Basalt X and the C3X range. The new GST structure is rationalising taxes across the passenger vehicle segment and will see a huge drop in Citroen vehicles.

The C3 and C3X are going to be priced Rs 84,000 lower and will now start at Rs 4.8 lakh (ex-showroom). The Aircross SUV is Rs 50,000 cheaper across both five and seven-seater trims. The Basalt and Basalt X are now priced at Rs 7.95 lakh, and the C5 Aircross SUV is receiving a price reduction of Rs 2.7 lakh.

Talking about the announcement, Director-Automotive Brands, Stellantis India said, “The reduction in GST on passenger vehicles is a welcome reform that will expand access to safe, modern, and efficient mobility across India. At Citroën, we remain committed to supporting this initiative by ensuring our customers enjoy the complete benefit of this reduction. By passing on the savings in full, we aim to make our vehicles more accessible across segments, while encouraging new buyers and accelerating adoption during the festive season.”

The GST reform is coinciding with the coming of the festive period, and auto makers are hopeful for a rise in sales. The announcement comes just a day after Stellantis’ other brand, Jeep, also announced their pricing slashes. 

The ex-showroom prices on Compass, Meridian, Wrangler and Grand Cherokee will see reductions between Rs 1.26 lakh and Rs 4.8 lakh, depending on the variant. Even the GST cuts will be observed in the Jeep brand from September 22nd, and the brand is looking at this as a way to make them more accessible in the country.
