New Delhi: The shares of Apollo Tyres are in the limelight after the tyre manufacturing company was chosen by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) as the new jersey sponsor for Team India.
The tyre-making giant bagged the rights with a huge bid of Rs 579 crore. Apollo Tyres will be the sponsor for three years, which will ensure the company’s presence on one of the biggest sporting stages. The deal covers 121 bilateral games and 21 ICC games.
Apollo Tyres was awarded the contract for the Indian cricket team following the exit of online game platform Dream11. The Indian government recently banned real money gaming platforms by introducing a legislation.
"The deal has been signed with Apollo Tyres. We will announce it soon," said a senior BCCI official.
Apollo Tyres shares closed at Rs 487 per equity share on September 16, 2025. The stock jumped around 18 per cent in the last six months.

Apollo Tyres’ revenue from operations for the Q1 of FY26 went up 4 per cent to close at Rs 6561 crore, as against Rs 6335 crore in the same quarter of 2024-25. The company mentioned that its operating profit was recorded at Rs 868 crore, while it stood at Rs 909 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
The Net profit of Apollo Tyres for the April-June quarter settled at Rs 381 crore (*excluding the estimated cost of restructuring amounting to Rs 368.5 crores, disclosed as an exceptional item). In the April-June quarter of 2024-25 it was recorded at Rs 302 crore.
Apollo Tyres is a multinational company headquartered in Gurugram. The tyre maker has its presence in India and foreign countries, including Europe.
