New Delhi: The shares of Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) are expected to be in focus on September 12, 2025, Thursday after the state-owned PSU confirmed raising Rs 453 crore through issuance of perpetual bonds.

IREDA issued a statement stating the issue received a strong response from the investors. A total of bids worth Rs 1,343 crore was placed, while the base size of Rs 100 crore and a Green-Shoe option of Rs 400 crore was offered.

The issue was oversubscribed 2.69 times. IREDA has raised Rs 453 crore at 7.70 per cent per annum through its second issue of Perpetual Bonds, the statement read.

"These bonds will strengthen our Tier-I Capital and help scale up renewable energy financing, accelerating India’s transition to a greener and more sustainable future,” IREDA Chairman and Managing Director Pradip Kumar Das said.

IREDA raises Rs 2,005.90 cr via QIP

In June 2025, IREDA successfully raised Rs 2,005.90 crore through a Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP). The capital was mobilised by issuing 12.15 crore equity shares at a price of Rs 165.14 per share, which includes a premium of Rs 155.14 per share over the face value of Rs 10.

The QIP had received an encouraging response from a diverse set of both domestic and foreign qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) including insurance companies, scheduled commercial banks and foreign portfolio investors.

IREDA Q1 FY 2025-26 Results

In its April-June quarter of 2025-26, IREDA’s operating profit was recorded at Rs 677 crore, while it stood at Rs 454 crore in the same quarter of 2024-25.

The PSU informed that its total income from operations was recorded at Rs 1,960 crore, while it was Rs 1,511 crore in Q1 of FY25.

IREDA’s net worth in the first quarter of 2025-26 was Rs 12,042 crore as against Rs 9,110 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.

Loan Book: Rs 79,941 crore in Q1 of FY26; it was Rs 63,207 crore in the first quarter of FY25.

IREDA sanctioned loans worth Rs 11,740 crore as against Rs 9,136 crore in the same quarter of 2024-25.

Loan Disbursements: Rs 6,980 crore vs Rs 5,325 crore.
