Kolkata: Sensex and Nifty are quite close to the peak levels but on Dec 24, the last day of trading, the benchmark indices closed in the red. Sensex fell 116.14 points to close at 85,408.70 and the Nifty fell 35.05 points to end the day at 26,142.10. Today, December 26, investors are expected to keep several stocks under watch including the likes of AVG Logistics, Lenskart, Ultratech Cement, KNR Constructions and Ola Electric. On Dec 24, 1693 shares advanced, 2154 shares declined, and 118 shares remained unchanged.
AVG Logistics: This company signed an MoU with Baidyanath LNG, which will lead to the adoption of LNG-based transportation solutions in sectors such as steel, metals, FMCG, and cement. This move could propel the company's growth.
Lenskart Solutions: Lenskart's Singapore subsidiary has approved an investment of approximately Rs 18.6 crore to acquire a 29.24% stake in the Korean startup iiNeer Corp which makes eye testing and lens cutting equipment. This is expected to boost Lenskart's technology.
Gujarat Gas: Milind Torawane has resigned from the MD position effective December 24. Gujarat government has appointed Avantika Singh Aulakh as the new MD.
KNR Constructions: The company will sell its 100% stake in four SPVs to Indus Infra Trust and has signed an agreement to that effect. This will fetch approximately Rs 1543 crore, while the investment was only Rs 567 crore. This will boost the firm's profit.
NTPC: This PSU has commissioned the second and final part of 13 MW out of the 23 MW capacity of the Solapur Solar PV project at NTPC Solapur in Maharashtra. The company's total capacity now stands at 85,623 MW.
Vodafone Idea: The company has received a penalty order of Rs 79.56 crore from the Deputy Commissioner of State Tax, Mumbai. This is related to license fees and spectrum charges for FY19. The company will challenge this order.
Ola Electric Mobility: Ola Electric has received incentives of Rs 366.78 crore under the PLI scheme for FY25 and this will help boost EV manufacturing.
Vikran Engineering: The company has received a contract worth Rs 459.2 crore from NTPC Renewable for a 400 MW solar project in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh.
Zota Health Care: Zota Health Care has raised Rs 350 crore through a QIP. Major investors include Valiant Partners, 360 ONE, and White Oak.
UltraTech Cement: UltraTech has commissioned additional capacity at its Maharashtra and Rajasthan units, increasing production by 1.8 MTPA. The total capacity now stands at 188.66 MTPA.
Panacea Biotec: The company has received a revised order from UNICEF for the supply of EasyFive-TT vaccine, which will run until 2027.
Castrol India: Stonepeak and others have launched an open offer to acquire a 26% stake in Castrol India at a price of Rs 194.04 per share.
Supreme Industries: The company has received a repeat order worth Rs 54 crore from BPCL for the supply of 2 lakh composite LPG cylinders.
NBCC (India): NBCC has signed an MoU with Mumbai Port Authority for the development of a CGO Complex on 25 acres of land.
