IAF AFCAT 2026 registration begins at afcat.edcil.co.in; apply online by December 14

Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for the Indian Air Force AFCAT exam between November 17 and December 14 through the official portal at afcat.edcil.co.in. The age limit for the flying branch is 20 to 24 years.

New Delhi: The Indian Air Force (IAF) has started the online registration process for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2026 examination. It has activated the IAF AFCAT 1 recruitment 2025 registration window for the Technical Branch, Ground Duty and Flying Branch today, November 17. Candidates who meet all the prerequisites set by the Indian Air Force can apply online through the official portal at afcat.edcil.co.in. 

Candidates can apply online for IAF AFCAT 2026 till December 14, 2025. The exam authority has also announced that the AFCAT 1 exam will be held on January 31, 2026. The AFCAT 1 admit card will be released on January 22. Aspirants are advised to read the AFCAT 2026 notification pdf meticulously before kick-starting the registration process.

How to apply online for IAF AFCAT 2026 recruitment?

Step 1: Open the official portal of IAF AFCAT at afcat.edcil.co.in

Step 2: Find the AFCAT 1 registration link on the homepage 

Step 3: Fill in the AFCAT 1 application form with all details including academic and personal 

Step 4: Scan and upload all the mandatory documents 

Step 5: Pay the application fee 

Step 6: Submit the AFCAT 2026 registration form 

Step 7: Download and keep the hard copy of application form for future need 

AFCAT eligibility criteria

Flying Branch: Candidates must obtain at least 60 per cent marks in graduation and must have studied Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level. The age limit is 20 to 24 years. 

Technical Branch: Candidates must have a 4-year degree qualification in Engineering/ Technology. (OR) Candidates who have cleared Sections A & B of the Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) / Aeronautical Society of India with 60 per cent marks are eligible.
