MP SET 2025 exam deferred due to unavoidable reasons; revised date to be announced soon
Due to unavoidable reasons, the MP SET exam is postponed. The new date for the exam will be announced separately. All other conditions mentioned in the official advertisement will remain same the exam conducting authority informed.
New Delhi: The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has rescheduled the MP State Eligibility Test (SET) 2025 exam. Earlier, the MP SET 2025 exam was set to be held on January 11, 2026. However, the commission has postponed it due to unavoidable reasons.
The new date for the exam will be announced in due course of time. Candidates can check and get more information on MP SET 2025 on the official website, mppsc.mp.gov.in.
'Due to unavoidable reasons, the said examination is hereby postponed. The new date for the examination will be announced separately. All other conditions mentioned in the advertisement shall remain unchanged,' reads the official statement.
The MP SET exam is held to shortlist candidates for the post of assistant professor in universities and colleges of Madhya Pradesh.
MP SET 2025 exam qualifying marks
To pass the MP SET 2025 exam, the General category candidates need to score a minimum of 40 per cent marks, while the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) category candidates need to secure at least 35 per cent marks.
MP SET 2025 exam pattern
The MP SET 2025 will have two papers which will be conducted online. Paper 1 is compulsory for all candidates and will have questions on the general paper on teaching and research aptitude. There will be 50 questions for a total of 100 marks. Paper 2 will have questions from the selected elective subject and there will be 100 questions for 200 marks. The duration for both papers together will be three hours. The total marks for the exam will be 300.
The MP SET 2025 online application window was open till November 20. The application form corrections facility was open between October 30 to November 22, 2025.
