New Delhi: The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Board has officially released the UP Lekhpal recruitment 2025 notification. The UP Lekhpal recruitment 2025 online application process will start on December 29. The last date to apply is January 28, 2026. Candidates who have passed Class 12 and appeared in Uttar Pradesh Preliminary Eligibility Test (UPPET) 2025 can apply for this recruitment through the official website, upsssc.gov.in. The last date to make corrections in the application form is February 4, 2026.
A total of 7,994 Lekhpal posts will be filled through this recruitment. Out of these, 4,165 posts are for General category candidates, 792 for Economically Weaker Section (EWS), 1,441 for Other Backward Caste (OBC), 1,446 for Scheduled Caste (SC) and 150 posts for Scheduled ST candidates.
To apply for UP Lekhpal recruitment 2025, candidates need to fulfil the below requirements-
UPPET 2025 is very important for this recruitment. Only candidates who appeared in UPPET 2025 can apply. Based on the UPPET score the merit list will be prepared. Candidates will also need their UPPET registration number while filling out the application form.
The UP Lekhpal recruitment 2025 selection will be done in two stages. First, candidates will be shortlisted based on UPPET 2025 scores. The shortlisted candidates will appear for a written exam to be conducted for a total of 100 marks. The exam will include questions on Indian history, national movement, constitution, computers and Uttar Pradesh-related topics. There will be no interview in this recruitment process.
