High-speed turn goes wrong

According to the police, Tony was travelling from 18th Main Road towards 100 Feet Road at a high speed. While attempting to take a left turn, he failed to slow down and lost control of the vehicle. Instead of negotiating the turn, the car went straight, mounted the road divider and veered across lanes.

Investigators said the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.

CCTV captures near-miss

Footage from the area shows the car hurtling forward, jumping the divider and narrowly missing a group of people who were standing outside the restaurant after finishing their dinner. The vehicle then collided with a two-wheeler before slamming into the restaurant’s wall, causing significant structural damage.

The video, which runs for about 10 seconds, highlights how close the pedestrians came to being hit by the out-of-control car.

Rider injured, case filed

While no fatalities were reported, the two-wheeler rider, identified as Jabir Ahmed, suffered minor injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and is said to be stable.

Police confirmed that the pedestrians standing outside the restaurant escaped without injuries. A complaint has been filed in connection with the incident, and a case has been registered at the Jeevan Bheema Nagar Traffic Police Station. Further investigation into the crash is underway.
