New Delhi: In a shocking case reported from Delhi's Narela, a 4-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and then sexually abused in Narela. The incident happened on Wednesday, said a report in the Times of India. The police managed to arrest the accused in the case.
According to reports, a 25-year-old man identified as Rizwan allegedly kidnapped the girl. The child was reportedly found crying and bleeding from her private parts.
The police received a PCR call at around 5:34 pm on December 3, regarding the discovery of the distraught child. They rushed to the spot and shifted the injured child to SHRC Hospital. She was later shifted to BSA Hospital for better treatment.
According to the DCP (Outer North) Hareshwar V Swami, the girl had been sexually abused by the accused, identified as Rizwan after being locked up in a room.
The man has now been arrested. According to the girl's teacher, on Wednesday, the girl had not come for her lessons. Concerned about her whereabouts, the teacher started looking for the child. Suddenly one of her students pointed towards a nearby building and said that he could hear someone crying there.
When the teacher approached the building, she found the 4-year-old crying and in an injured state. She immediately called the PCR and told them about the situation. The girl was moved to a hospital after the police arrived at the building. The suspect was also found at the spot, and he was badly beaten up by the locals. He was then handed over to the police.
The police managed to arrest Rizwan, who had allegedly kidnapped the child. During questioning, the man revealed that he was roaming the area when he saw the little girl. The girl was not accompanied by any adults, and Rizwan, who said he was under the influence of alcohol, took her with him.
He confessed to having confided in her in a room and sexually assaulting her. The man also revealed that he had locked the room from inside so that her cries could not be heard by passersby.
The police said that the accused did not know the girl, prior to committing the crime. The man has confessed to the crime, said officials.
The police have booked Rizwan under relevant sections of the Pocso Act and also for kidnapping and rape, under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
