New Delhi: A staff member at Saket Court in Delhi allegedly died by suicide on Friday. The incident left people at the court premises, including his colleagues shocked. The man reportedly jumped off a building at the Saket Court complex.
The police said that soon after receiving information, they reached the Saket Court. They recovered a suicide note from the possession of the deceased.
The police said that the deceased youth was specially abled and had been working at the court for some time now. Reports said that the man had been mentally disturbed for some time now. The police took the body for post mortem and have launched an intense investigation in the matter.
The family of the deceased will also be contacted to find out more details about his mental condition. The police want to know what exactly might have triggered him and led him to jump to death.
According to the note left behind by the youth, he said that he was taking his life of his own accord and was stressed due to office work. He identified himself as Harish Singh Mahar. He said that nobody should be held responsible for his death. He added that he had been having suicidal thoughts for quiet some time now and he believed that he could overcome them. He however said that he sadly failed.
He further claimed that his disability was hampering his job and revealed that he had even thought of taking early retirement. But later, he claimed to have dropped the idea. He once again reiterated at the end of the note, that he alone was responsible for the decision to take his life.
Meanwhile police have launched an investigation in the matter and are planning to approach the deceased's family for further details.
