Hyderabad: Two dead bodies found in an auto near Chandrayangutta; drug overdose suspected

The deceased identified as Jahangir (24), Irrfan (25), reportedly died from a drug overdose.

Hyderabad: Two men were found dead in an auto under a flyover near Chandrayangutta, Old city on Wednesday morning, tv9 telugu reported.

The deceased identified as Jahangir (24), Irrfan (25), reportedly died from an alleged drug overdose and their bodies were sent for postmortem at Osmania General Hospital.

The clues team collected evidence and seized three injections from the scene. It is reported that another person has absconded. The police are examining the CCTV cameras in the area. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.

Speaking to Tv9 telugu, Chandrayangutta ACP Sudhakar said, “We got information through 100 and when we went there, two people were in a critical condition. We identified both of them as Irfan and Jahangir and both of them were auto drivers.

They died in the auto belonging to Irfan. Nothing else was found except the injections. The clues team has seized three injections and we will send the injections to the FSL. We cannot say right now whether they took drugs or ganja. There are no cases against them.”

Tipper truck causes havoc at midnight:

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a speeding tipper lost control near Malakpet TV towers, crashing into a bus and lorry before mounting the divider under the metro bridge on midnight at 1 am. Heavy traffic disruption followed but no casualties have been reported.

In another incident, police have arrested Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty’s namesake for a series of burglaries in the city. Cops have recovered Rs 10 lakh worth gold and silver ornaments from his possession.
