Mumbai: The trailer of the much-awaited sequel of Rakul Preet and Ajay Devgn’s romantic comedy film, De De Pyaar De, is out. The trailer of the film, directed by Anshul Sharma, produced by T-Series and Luv Films, gives a fair idea of what the audience can expect from the movie.
The trailer was released at 7 pm on Tuesday. From its first look, it assures audience a witty and fun film to look forward to. Apart from Ajay and Rakul, R Madhavan is also playing a very important role. While Ajay plays the lead character Ashish, a man in his 50s, Rakul plays the role of Ayesha, a woman in her 20s. Madhavan plays Ayesha's father in the movie. Anil Kapoor was previously cast as Ayesha's father.
The sequel focuses on the interaction of Ashish with Ayesha's protective and progressive family. It captures the humourous clash between Ajay and Madhavan. “Madhavan will play Rakul’s father in De De Pyaar De 2. The plot of the film will now be on the lines of the hilarious one-upmanship that will ensue between Ajay and Madhavan — over Rakul’s character dating a man older than her father. With Anil, that plotline wouldn’t have had the desired impact, since Anil is older than Ajay, but now, with Madhavan essaying the role, it fits the narrative aptly,” said a source.
