Mumbai: Farah Khan took to social media to laud Huma Qureshi's performance in the Netflix series Delhi Crime S3. The filmmaker and choreographer even said that she wanted Qureshi to win every award for her outstanding character.

“So proud of u @iamhumaq… just finished Delhi Crime… and astounded and awed by ur range as an actor… u know I rarely praise you, so u also know this is genuine… love, and a bit scared at how disturbing ur character was… will be nicer to you from now," said Khan in her Instagram post. She added, "If u don’t win every award for this… I will personally go up and snatch it and give it to you @iamhumaq…”

Huma responded to the video. “Hahaha, you are the best… learnt all my monster behaviour from you. Loveee you, Farah to the moon and back," said Huma.

In the third season, Huma, Meena, aka Badi Didi, plays the character of an antagonist who runs a human-trafficking chain.

The actress stated that she was pitched the role as Batman vs Joker. “I want to be loved as the most hated woman in this show, because she does some really horrible things, which I don’t approve of or stand for as an individual," said Huma.

Twinkle Khanna also lauded Huma's performance.  “I’ve met Rani before, and season 4 ushers in a new generation. It widens the battlefield from Bihar to the whole country. Now, Huma — she’s my friend, but I have to say she’s exceptional as Rani Bharti. Even though I know her well, when I see her cracking her knuckles as she weighs her son against her daughter, and those eyes — her tired, jaded eyes that don’t change even when she smiles — I forget Huma completely. She’s all Rani. I think Maharani is one of India’s most beloved political thrillers because it gives you a glimpse into what’s happening behind all those headlines. My advice: start watching it — Huma won’t let you look away," said Khanna.

Rajkummar Rao lauded Huma's performance. He called it "phenomenal" and praised her for compelling realism.
