Mumbai: Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor talked about the actor's fake Instagram account when the duo appeared at the launch event of luxury property developer DAMAC's latest project: DAMAC Islands 2 on Wednesday. He stated that he had a reel with their daughter Raha on his "finsta" account.
“I'm not officially on Instagram. I have a finsta account. There are such amazing people in the world who do such amazing, inspirational stuff. So you do wanna follow them. But because I'm an actor, I didn't want to officially be on Instagram," said Kapoor. He added, "Then I've a responsibility to really show myself off to the world, and I felt that I already have a medium, which is acting, in movies, that's enough for me to show myself off to the world."
He also claimed that he is often asked about his preference not to keep a social media account. "But I have to come up with different answers because otherwise I'll seem boring, as it's been 10 years and I'm always asked this question," said the actor.
Ranbir then told the crowd that he made an Instagram reel with his daughter Raha. Meanwhile, the actress stated that Ranbir wouldn't allow her to follow him on his "finsta" account.
"If she follows me, then the world would get to know," said Ranbir. Alia added, "He says, 'If you follow me, everyone will follow me. So I'm peeking into his home. He's got like all of two Reels on his finsta account that only he and two people will see."
During the event, the couple danced to Ranbir's hit song Badtameez Dil from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013).
Alia and Ranbir dated for years before tying the knot in 2022. The duo became parents to their daughter Raha in November 2022. Their child made her first public appearance in December 2023.
