New Delhi: Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit's on-screen pairing has been loved by many. The duo has blessed Bollywood with entertaining films such as Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam, Dil Tera Aashiq, and Saajan. But their biggest blockbuster together remains Hum Aapke Hain Koun. Interestingly, in the Didi Tera Devar Deewana song of the Sooraj Barjatya directorial, the Bhaijaan of Hindi cinema was seen wearing a nighty.
According to TV9Hindi, the 61-year-old filmmaker once revealed that it was the 57-year-old actress who asked Salman to wear a nighty in it. Madhuri was adamant that Salman should wear the nightdress in the musical track, and she did his makeup.
Sooraj was quoted as saying that the shooting of Didi Tera Devar Deewana was completed in 16 days because the song was quite long. "We wanted to end it on a high note and add some fun at the last. Then I told my father that I wanted to make Salman Khan wear a nighty in a scene. Hearing this, Salman Khan agreed, but my father immediately refused the idea. Then, filled with frustration, I went to the cast and crew of the film with my idea. When I shared it with others, they all found it very funny and liked it too," he added.
Divulging further details, Sooraj added that Madhuri liked this idea very much and supported it. "After this, I took a vote of all the female dancers and women present on the set. All the dancers and Madhuri agreed to this fun idea. And later, Madhuri herself insisted that Salman wear a nightie," he said.
Hum Aapke Hain Koun is believed to be one of the most successful projects in Indian cinema. It not only took the Box Office by storm but also won numerous accolades at various award functions. The flick was released in cinemas on August 5, 1994. Hum Aapke Hain Koun was produced by Rajshri Productions.
