It's confirmed! Kriti Sanon replaces Kiara Advani in Ranveer Singh's Don 3

New Delhi: After much speculation for weeks, actress Kriti Sanon has been confirmed as the female lead in Ranveer Singh-starrer Don 3. Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment has officially confirmed that Kriti has replaced the new mom of B-town, Kiara Advani, as the lead in the upcoming movie.

Earlier, the film was supposed to feature Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani in the lead roles, but due to the actress’ pregnancy, she opted out of the movie and chose to “priortise her personal life”, according to a Pinkvilla report.

In an official press note, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment confirmed that Kriti Sanon has been cast as the leading lady opposite Ranveer Singh in the much-anticipated film Don 3. The film will go on floors in January 2026. The confirmation came after Kiara and Sidharth Malhotra welcomed their daughter on July 15, 2025.

The speculations over Kriti replacing Kiara started to swirl around after the former wished Ranveer Singh on his birthday and shared that she cannot wait to work with him.

Meanwhile, for the role of antagonists, Vikrant Massey and Vijay Deverakonda were approached, but both denied due to “lack of depth” in the role. For the unversed, the casting of the film is underway, and makers are still looking to cast the antagonist and are approaching top A-listers.

Meanwhile, a source close to the development confirmed to TV9 English Digital earlier that Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra will not be making a cameo in the film.
