Mumbai: The 3D promo of Ramayana will debut in theatres with James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash. The 3D promo was created by 8-time Oscar-winning visual effects studio DNEG. An introductory glimpse of the movie was released in July.
Fans watching Avatar: Fire and Ash on the big screen will have the opportunity to watch the latest 3D promo of Nitesh Tiwari's film Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash. The first part of the film is set to release for Diwali 2026.
The epic movie, produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios and co-produced by Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, is one of the most-awaited movies of the Indian film industry. Speaking of the adaptation, Namit shared that he is focused on highlighting the culture of India. He also stated that the film is going to be massive.
"No Indian film, by a long distance, comes close to it... We’re making the largest film in the world for the greatest story, the greatest epic, that the world should see. We’re taking something that we have pride in — it’s a foundational piece of our culture — and presenting it in the grandest form possible. There has to be pride that must come through, in every Indian first, and then every other person in the world," said Namit.
The exciting movie will feature Ranbir as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Yash as Ravana, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. The music of the film is composed by the legendary AR Rahman and Grammy-winner Hans Zimmer. The second part of the big-budget movie is expected to release during Diwali in 2027.
Meanwhile, James Cameron’s third film in the Avatar franchise, Avatar: Fire and Ash, is scheduled to release in theatres on December 19, 2025. The film's world premiere took place at the Dolby Theatre, Hollywood, US, on December 1.
