"Working with John Cena showed me the man behind the icon: disciplined, grounded, and generous at heart. From the WWE ring to the big screen, he’s inspired millions through sheer hard work and humility. From 8 to 80, across all genders and walks of life, his fanbase speaks volumes about the kind of impact he’s had. As he steps away from WWE, this is not an end but a celebration of an incredible legacy. Salute to a true legend (sic)," wrote Hooda.

John Cena fought his final match at Capital One Arena in Washington, DC, on December 13. His opponent was Gunther. The wrestler lost to his opponent by submission.

The match evoked mixed feelings among fans. One wrote, "It’s John Cena’s last match ever, and everyone at the arena and around the world is sad and emotional." A second person stated, "I honestly really liked the visual of John Cena smiling before tapping out to GUNTHER in his final pro wrestling match. I'm glad he got this last run to get the love from the fans."

"I love that [people think I will return] and I don't knock them for that, because this has never been done before," said the wrestler. He added, "Wrestlers don't retire, so to be the first one there's going to be some scepticism. There is no chance. WrestleMania will come and go and that's when unfortunately, the people who have an idea in their head might not get the closure they want. I urge everybody just to lean in - December 13th is my last match in the ring, and you don't have to believe it, but WrestleManias will come and go and I will not be active," announced John Cena previously.

John Cena began his wrestling career 25 years ago. Apart from his wrestling, he has also acted in a number of movies.
