Govinda-Sunita Ahuja: Fresh controversy has surrounded Govinda after his wife Sunita Ahuja spoke candidly about rumours of an alleged affair, calling 2025 a deeply distressing year for her. The remarks were made during an interview with ETimes, where personal and emotional details were shared with striking frankness.
It was stated by Sunita that reports linking Govinda to another woman had taken a toll on her well-being. While the presence of a third person was acknowledged, it was clarified that the woman was "not an actress.” Sunita added, "I treat 2025 as a very bad year for me because I’ve been hearing about Govinda’s controversy that he is having an affair with a girl, but I know that she’s not an actress because actresses don’t do such bad things. She doesn’t love him; she only wants his money.”
Are Sunita Ahuja and Govida parting ways?
According to Sunita, the situation has been painful, not just because of public scrutiny, but also because of the emotional impact on the family. She expressed a strong desire for closure and stability in the coming year. "I wish to change my life in 2026. I want Govinda to put an end to all these controversies, and I want a happy family in 2026,” she said.
Clear boundaries were also laid out during the conversation. Sunita remarked that priorities should be firmly set within a family. "I am hoping that Govinda realises that the most important things in his life are three women: his mother, his wife, and his daughter. No one has a right to keep the fourth woman in their life. This is for every man in the world, including Govinda,” she added. She further claimed that several people around the actor were motivated by money rather than loyalty.
Sunita Ahuja and Govida divorce rumours
Earlier this year, speculation around a possible divorce had also gained momentum. Those rumours were firmly dismissed by Sunita during a public appearance at a Ganesh Chaturthi celebration. At the time, she had said, "Aaj media ke muh pe thappad nahi padi hai kya? Humko saath me dekh kar… Koi hum dono ko alag nahi kar sakta… Mera Govinda sirf mera hi hai aur kisi ka nahi hai.”
Govinda and Sunita have been married for over three decades and are parents to two children, Tina and Yashvardhan. While Tina has already stepped into films, Yashvardhan is preparing for his acting debut.
