In its three-day theatrical release, the film is close to entering the Rs 150 crore club. People are booking tickets to watch the film out of excitement, but are coming out with disappointment and negative reviews. The film grossed Rs 52 crore on its first day, followed by an increase in collection on its second day, with the amount of Rs 57.35 crore. On the third day, early estimates suggest that the film will earn Rs 33 crore. This makes a total of Rs 142 crore. Talking about the occupancy rates, War 2 had an overall 31.42 per cent Hindi Occupancy on Saturday. While the film had 48.71 per cent Tamil Occupancy and 42.19 per cent Telugu Occupancy.
