Sigachi Industries on Monday said production at its Hyderabad plant, which saw a fire incident leading to the death of several workers, would be paused for around 90 days to restore affected equipment and structures.
Telangana BJP leader Tulla Veerender has expressed dismay at the tragic incident. He wrote on X saying, "Deeply saddened by the tragic fire accident at Sigachi Chemicals in Pashamylaram Industrial Estate, Sangareddy, Telangana, which claimed over 5 lives and left several injured.
My sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and prayers for the swift recovery of the injured."
Inspector General of Police (Multizone) V Satyanarayana said the impact of the blast was felt for about five kms in the Pashamylaram area, he said.
The Labour Minister said the incharge of the factory also lost his life in the accident and "there is nobody from the factory side to give us really what happened," he said.
