A rare occurrence! 30-year-old woman gives birth to quadruplets in UPs Kannauj
A 30-year-old woman from Uttar Pradesh has given birth to quadruplets at a local nursing home, a rare and remarkable event. The mother, already a parent to three daughters, is now raising seven girls in total. The babies were delivered through a normal delivery and have been discharged safely, highlighting the uncommon nature of naturally conceived quadruplets.
New Delhi: A 30-year-old woman from Uttar Pradesh's Kannauj area has given birth to quadruplets at Vaishnavi Nursing Home. The rare event had surprised the hospital staff. The woman, identified as Anita, delivered four babies through a normal delivery on December 21st.
Anita gave birth to four daughters, with a gap of two to three minutes between their births. To mark the new occasion, her husband gifted her a bouquet of flowers as a token of love.
Mother to seven daughters
Anita, a 30-year-old resident of Thathiya town, was admitted to Vaishnavi Nursing Home on Bardhaiya Road by her husband Anuj Singh on December 20th for delivery. Two of the daughters were weighed at around one kilogram, while the remaining babies weighed more than one and a half kilogram. Following this, the four have been discharged and sent home. Doctor noted that that weight of a healthy newborn baby was recorded at 2.5 kilograms to 3.8 kilograms.
The woman's husband revealed that Anita already had three daughters. The recent episode makes her a mother of seven daughters. He added that the earlier ultrasound had revealed the presence of four fetuses.

A few days ago, 30-year-old woman gave birth to quadruplets at Satara’s district hospital in Maharashtra. She had already delivered twins in one pregnancy and a single baby in another—bringing her total to seven children.
In a separate case, a 29-year-old woman gave birth to quadruplets, three girls and a boy, at a charitable hospital in Indore. Naturally conceived quadruplets are uncommon. Experts say that naturally conceived quadruplets are extremely rare, occoring in approximately one out of every 700,000 births.
