LS clears SHANTI Bill to open nuclear sector for private players

The Lok Sabha on Wednesday passed the Sustainable Harnessing and Advancement of Nuclear Energy for Transforming India Bill, with Union minister Jitendra Singh saying it would help India reach its goal of generating 100 GW of atomic energy by 2047.
