Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmakers will hold a major protest outside the Islamabad High Court on Tuesday demanding the release of former prime minister Imran Khan, party leader and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi said on Sunday. A para teacher in Jharkhand’s Palamu district has been arrested along with three hired killers for allegedly plotting to murder the husband of a mid-day meal cook at his school. Police said the teacher, Satyadev Vishwakarma, wanted a “relationship” with the cook, leading to repeated disputes with her husband. He allegedly offered the assailants Rs 40,000, but police intercepted them on Saturday night and seized a pistol and two knives.

Five people died after a massive blaze tore through a home in Neuves-Maisons in eastern France, authorities said on Sunday. Around 70 firefighters battled the overnight fire, while a sixth person was treated for smoke inhalation.
