New Delhi: A Canadian man slammed an Indian family after they blasted loud music at a beach. The video garnered mixed comments from netizens. While some asked him to stop hating on people, others said it was important for people to be considerate of others sharing the public space.

The man, who goes by the name @truenorthlooper, said that the authorities had once stopped him playing music at the beach and also fined him. He then wondered why other people were allowed to play loud music. He said, "blast whatever kind of music they want." He panned the camera to show a mat laid out with picnic bags and a loud speaker playing Punjabi music.

The Canadian man then sarcastically said, "This is another example of coming down to the beach and blasting whatever kind of music you want and at whatever volume you want. These people are not even here, yet everyone within 150 feet has to listen to this. Great job, City of Barrie." He then took jibes at the authorities. "Heaven forbid, I play guitar and raise money for the Barrie Food Bank. That's a no-no. But yeah, come here and blast whatever music you want, you don't even have to listen to it, go play in the water while everyone else will have to listen to it," said the annoyed man.

The video garnered several reactions. One suggested that he should ask them to reduce the volume. Further, added, "I don't understand, is it a new trend to come and cry to the internet as a full grown man? Cmon man. Find another spot, or request them. Weeping on the internet is not it. Smh."

Another stated that was normal for people to play music. They claimed that they had come across some playing English songs in a speaker. One person commented, "I don’t wanna hear ANY genre of music at the beach I want to hear the waves the breeze and seagulls. Even if it was the music I loved I don’t want to hear it at the beach. But it’s a public place."

Another netizen stated, "Okay, I will say that no matter what it is, it’s so irritating to have someone blasting music in a public space."
