Chandan Mishra murder: Two suspects involved in gangsters killing, injured in encounter in Bihar
The murder of Chandan Mishra, a convicted criminal on parole, has sparked a major investigation in Bihar, culminating in a dramatic police encounter that left two suspects injured. Mishra, a resident of Buxar district serving time at Beur Jail, was shot and killed on July 17th at Paras Hospital in Arrah, Bhojpur district, where he was undergoing treatment.
The incident initially involved nine individuals, according to police investigations. CCTV footage from the hospital shows five armed men entering the lobby, with Tausief, also known as Badshah, appearing to lead the attack and reload a firearm before the group entered Mishras room and opened fire.
A subsequent joint operation by the Bihar Police and the Kolkata Police Special Task Force (STF) led to the arrest of Tausief and his cousin, Nishu Khan, along with two other accomplices, Harsh and Bhimn. Tauseef was remanded for three days, while the others were remanded to judicial custody. The Bihar Police confirmed prior offences against Tausief and Nishu Khan, including charges under the Arms Act. They allege the conspiracy to murder Mishra was planned at Nishu Khans residence, a claim Khan denies.
