Delhi-NCR continues to battle alarming levels of air pollution, with air quality categorised as "very poor" to "severe" across the region. Data from the CPCB Sameer app indicates Delhis overall Air Quality Index (AQI) stands at 365. Sixteen monitoring stations in the city have recorded severe air quality, while others report very poor levels.
Areas like Anand Vihar (401), Wazirpur (402), and Patparganj (419) are among the worst affected, all firmly in the severe category. In response to the deteriorating conditions, Gurugram has implemented GRAP Stage-IV.
This emergency measure includes the introduction of staggered office timings for state government offices, Municipal Corporation Gurugram, and Municipal Corporation Manesar, which will now operate from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Health advisories remain in effect, urging all residents to limit outdoor exposure, particularly children, the elderly, and individuals with respiratory conditions.
Authorities also recommend taking precautions such as masking up when leaving home, as the high pollution levels have significantly impacted visibility across the capital city.
