Hyderabad Husband Arrested for Burning Wife Alive, Daughter Attacked
Hyderabad police have arrested a man named Venkatesh for allegedly burning his wife, Triveni, to death at their residence over suspicion of infidelity. The horrific incident, which occurred in front of their children, also saw the couples daughter pushed into the flames.
According to police, Venkatesh attacked Triveni inside their house, poured petrol on her, and set her ablaze. When their daughter attempted to intervene, she was reportedly pushed into the fire as well.
Hearing the woman's screams, neighbours rushed inside and immediately transported the victims to a nearby hospital. Triveni tragically succumbed to her injuries, while her daughter survived with minor burns.
Venkatesh, a native of Huzurabad in Nalgonda district, fled the scene but was apprehended by Nalakunta police within 12 hours of the crime. A case has been registered, and investigations are ongoing into this grave act of domestic violence.
