Political strategist-turned-politician Prashant Kishor has declared that migrant labourers will be the decisive "X-factor" in the ongoing Bihar Assembly elections, not women voters. Speaking on a podcast, the Jan Suraaj founder noted an unprecedented voter turnout, which he believes signifies a profound political shift in the state. Kishor suggested that many migrant workers, usually absent, have stayed back to vote, hoping for change. He attributed the rise in polling numbers to their participation.

Kishor also outlined Jan Suraajs firm stance against post-poll alliances, stating the party would prefer re-election over collaborating with other political entities. He expressed satisfaction regarding a potential shift in leadership, hinting at Nitish Kumars departure.

Concurrently, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has questioned the transparency of the Bihar elections, alleging the Election Commission has withheld male-female voter turnout figures and citing issues like scattered VVPAT slips and inactive CCTV cameras at polling centres. He has demanded full transparency and clarification from the Election Commission.
