MPCA president Mahan Aryaman Scindia received a rousing welcome during a roadshow in Guna and backed the BCCI's decision to direct KKR to release Bangladeshi cricketer Mustafizur Rahman, calling it a step taken in the national interest.
New Delhi: MPCA president Mahan Aryaman Scindia received a rousing welcome from party workers during a grand roadshow in the Shivpuri area of Guna, where enthusiasm ran high among thousands of supporters. Scindia was seen walking on the road and interacting closely with workers and youth who lined the route to greet him.
Three-day Guna visit
Scindia is currently on a three-day tour of Guna, during which he is scheduled to engage with local sportspersons and young people. Party workers accorded him a warm reception, with large crowds turning out to felicitate him along the roadshow route in Shivpuri.
Backs BCCI decision
Earlier in the day, the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association president arrived at Gwalior airport as part of his visit to Gwalior and Guna. Speaking to the media, Scindia backed the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s directive to Kolkata Knight Riders to release Bangladeshi cricketer Mustafizur Rahman from their squad ahead of the Indian Premier League.
"BCCI has taken the right decision and a decision in the interest of the country. We all agree with the BCCI,” Scindia said.
