Nitin Nabin Appointed BJP National President, Signalling Generational Shift
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has formally elected 45-year-old Bihar MLA Nitin Nabin as its new National President, ushering in a significant generational shift at the helm of the party. His unopposed election was confirmed after a day-long nomination process at the BJP headquarters, where he stood as the sole candidate.
Nabin’s ascent to the top organisational post received broad consensus, evidenced by the 37 sets of nomination papers filed in his favour, including signatures from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers JP Nadda, Rajnath Singh, and Amit Shah, as well as several Chief Ministers.
This unanimous support underscores a deliberate transition towards younger leadership. Having previously served as National Working President since December, his election formalises the party’s strategic move towards renewal and preparation for upcoming political challenges.
