Renukaswamy Murder Case: Trial Developments and Darshans Jail Condition Complaint

| Updated on: Nov 19, 2025 | 01:26 PM

The Renukaswamy murder case, involving actor Darshan and his associates, saw significant developments in its latest court hearing. The prosecution has proposed a measure to expedite the trial by requesting the court to allow certain undisputed documents to be marked directly as evidence, bypassing the need for witness confirmation.

This move aims to accelerate proceedings, particularly as Darshan and the other accused have denied all charges, necessitating the prosecution to prepare a comprehensive witness list for formal evidence recording.

During the hearing, actor Darshan, appearing via video conference, raised concerns about his jail conditions, stating that it was "too cold" and inmates were not being provided with blankets. In response, the judge sternly reprimanded jail officials and issued fresh directives to ensure that blankets are supplied to the inmates. The court has adjourned the matter to December 3, while interim bail for Accused No. 14, Pradosh, has been extended until November 22.
