According to defence and geopolitical expert Maj. Gen. Rajan Kochar (Retd), the situation in Bangladesh is intricately linked to the growing influence of Pakistans ISI in conjunction with Islamist elements, particularly Jamaat-e-Islami.

This resurgence is seen as impacting the countrys internal stability, with the National Citizen Party and Hindu leaders allegedly being targeted ahead of forthcoming elections.

The expert highlighted concerns regarding the administrative capacity of figures like Muhammad Yunus to control the escalating law and order situation, suggesting a potential remote influence by external actors.
