Designed to blend adventure with scenic beauty, this elevated glass walkway offers visitors a rare chance to walk above the calm waters of Akkulam Lake. 1. Structure and safety design
The bridge stretches approximately 50-52 metres in length and is about 2 metres wide, suspended nearly 75 feet above Akkulam Lake. It is constructed using three layers of 12 mm laminated glass along with a 1.5 mm safety film, ensuring strength, durability, and visitor confidence. Before opening to the public, the structure underwent mandatory inspections, including a technical evaluation by NIT Kozhikode.

To maintain safety and avoid overcrowding, only around 20 visitors are allowed on the bridge at a time. This system ensures a smooth experience, though short waiting periods may occur during weekends and holidays.

Entry to the Akkulam Glass Bridge is designed to be affordable. Ticket prices are approximately Rs 200 for adults and Rs 150 for children, making it a family-friendly attraction.
