New Delhi: Defending champions India are sweating it hard in the nets ahead of the much-awaited Asia Cup 2025. The continental showpiece begins in two days on September 9 in the UAE and the reigning champions are set to play their first encounter a day later on September 10 against the hosts UAE.
Having reached on the UAE soil couple of days back, the Suryakumar Yadav-led team is practicing hard for the marquee event which has kept all the cricket fans on their. On Sunday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released a video on their social media handle where the Indian team was witnessed preparing it hard for the 8-team event.
The video opens with a glimpse of the ICC academy in Dubai where the Indian cricket players are seen involved in warm-ups and exercises. Following this, the video shows Indian cricketers involved in tough training sessions with batters getting engaged in polishing their batting skills while the bowlers bowling full throttle inside the nest under the lights.
Earlier in the day, the BCCI and the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) unveiled the official team jersey through a video. The unveiling came at the time when the Indian team was involved in high intensity practice sessions at the ICC academy. Earlier on Saturday, the sponsor-less Indian jersey for the Asia Cup was unveiled on social media with T20 star Shivam Dube posing with the jersey.
After the exit of Dream 11 as the jersey sponsor, the BCCI is yet to find a replacement and has invited applications for Team India's new jersey sponsor as per the regulations of the new Online Gaming Bill which has barred all the fantasy gaming platforms.
