New Delhi: India lock horns with New Zealand in the second T20I of the five-game series in Raipur on Friday, January 23. Already leading the series 1-0, Team India would be hoping to double their lead when they come on to the field in the second match while the Kiwis would be aiming to level the series by notching up a victory.

In the first match in Nagpur on Wednesday, India exhibited superlative all-round effort to win the high-scoring encounter by 48 runs. Batting first, Abhishek Sharma starred with the bat for the hosts smashing 84 runs while Rinku Singh, towards the end of the game, scored an unbeaten 44 runs to push the team's score to 238 in the stipulated 20 overs.

Suryakumar Yadav's 32-run score was also a recognisable contribution as the Indian skipper finally found a glimpse of form. While the batting proved to be superb, bowlers also did well to restrict the Kiwi side to 190 runs despite a sensational effort of 78 runs from Glenn Phillips.
